How STRA Appointments Work

  • Book an appointment on our web portal or through our phone hotline at (503) 713-5590

  • Receive a confirmation number your appointment.

  • Submit all required documents to us 24 hours before the appointment.

  • A STRA Coordinator will call you at the day & time of your appointment.

  • Commitment is made to property owner/manager once coordinator has all the required information.

 FAQs

  • You qualify for energy assistance if you:

    1) Live in Multnomah County AND

    2) Meet low income guidelines (STRA coordinator to confirm at appointment) 

  • You can book an appointment through our web portal HERE

    You can also call our scheduling hotline at (503) 713-5590 if you cannot access the web portal

  •  Make sure:

    • You know the day and time of your appointment.

    • You have collected and submitted all your required documents 24-48 hours prior to appointment.

    • Your Full Name the appointment is under (If your email does not identify your full name and only the email address)

    • ID (for ALL Adults in home)

    • SS Cards for everyone in household

    • Proof of Income for last 30 days (if there is income in the household including, Pay Stubs,TANF Letter, Paystubs, SSI Award Letter, Proof of unemployment payment history from the Unemployment website)

    • Rental/Lease Agreement (please have your Landlord email this to you because multiple pictures you may take yourself may not be legible, or if you have one you can access on your tenant portal or in an email you can send already, please do so)

    • 72 hours notice or Letter from Landlord/Manager stating if a certain amount of monies are not paid household faces eviction (Your Tenant Ledger which is an itemized breakdown of your balance from your Landlord explaining each charge and date of charge, if you have Section 8 please provide your Home Forward Statement showing your portion and Home Forward's Portion)

    • Landlord/Manager email and phone number

    • W-9 (from Landlord/Manager signed and dated in the last 12 months unless Landlord/Manager ask that we request it)

    • Your phone is charged and you are in a good spot to talk on the phone for an appointment. (Appointments typically take 30 minutes)

    •  Your Full Name the appointment is under (If your email does not identify your full name and only the email address)

    • ID (for ALL Adults in home)

    • SS Cards or SS numbers (with names) for everyone in household

    • Proof of Income for last 30 days (if there is income in the household, TANF Letter, Paystubs, SSI Award Letter, Proof of unemployment payment history from the Unemployment website)

    • Rental/Lease Agreement (please have your Landlord email this to you because multiple pictures you may take yourself may not be legible, or if you have one you can access on your tenant, please email it)

    • Your Tenant Ledger (an itemized breakdown of your balance from your Landlord explaining each charge and date of charge, if you have Section 8 please provide your Home Forward Statement showing your portion and Home Forward's Portion)

    • Landlord/Manager email and phone number

    • W-9 (from Landlord/Manager signed and dated in the last 12 months unless Landlord/Manager ask that we request it)

  • You must submit 24 hours prior to appointment:
