The
Center for Self Enhancement
The Center for Self Enhancement was opened
in 1997 upon the completion of a $10 million
capital campaign. The facility is 62,000
square feet. |

The
Library
SEI’s library has an impressive collection
of multicultural books, periodicals and
computer software. The lLibrarian Genia
Adair inspires students to enjoy reading
through numerous creative activities in
the library each afternoon. SEI welcomes
volunteers to read with students in the
library during afternoon programming. |

The
Gym
The gymnasium at SEI features a full-length
basketball court which can be split into
two regulation size gyms. There are also
bleachers for 600 spectators. Several SEI
alumni, now playing for Division I NCAA
basketball teams, perfected their free throw
in the gym. |

Classroom
The Center for Self Enhancement is equipped
with five classrooms. Each classroom can
accommodate 30 people. The classrooms include
tables, chairs, dry erase boards, and sinks.

Recording
Studio
SEI’s high school music program features
a Music Production Class in which students
can write, record, and edit their own music
in SEI’s Recording Studio. The studio
has a digital audio workstation, keyboards,
samplers, and synthesizer modules. |

Dance
Studio
SEI students have the opportunity to express
themselves in SEI’s stereo-sound supported
dance studio. SEI students currently take
classes in urban dance and step. |

Computer
Lab
The Computer Education Center is home to
a group of networked PC’s and iMacs.
SEI has developed a computer curriculum
to ensure that SEI students are computer
literate and prepared to compete in a high-tech
world. |

Cafeteria
/ Kitchen
The commercial kitchen and cafeteria at
the Center for Self Enhancement allow SEI
staff to prepare nutritious snacks and hot
meals for the students attending programming
each week. The kitchen is equipped with
a commercial range, refrigerator, freezer,
deep fry vats, and a dishwasher. |
